DeResta is originally from Rhode Island, and the New England area and his Italian ancestry influence his cuisine. DeResta has been Riverside's chef since 2009, and has been a force behind a number of quality Hood River restaurants, including 6th Street Bistro (1993-1996), Brian's Pourhouse (1996-2001), and Abruzzo (2001-2008).
